CineTv Contest #131 - Such An Experience.

in CineTV2 days ago (edited)

Today I want to take you back in time to a memorable afternoon that changed my movie experience forever, so It was a very hot afternoon when my dad came home carrying a DVD player, brand new wth the whole sound system player, my sister and I were beyond excited ,if another word could describe how we felt, We had been waiting for this moment for what felt like an eternity.

So before the DVD player arrived, our only option was to stay over at our aunt's place to watch movies on the weekends ,You see she had an impressive collection of DVDs just stacked in a drawer like they were treasures waiting to be discovered, So at times we would often spend hours at her place, binge-watching some movies and enjoying quality time with our aunt.

But now, with the DVD player at home, we could finally enjoy movies in the comfort of our own living room, My dad's surprise gift sparked a new kinda era of entertainment for us, and we were so eager to explore the world of movies

I remember running to my aunt's house to borrow some CD the next while I was returning from school, it was really exciting for me to run to her place and got to select movies of my choice, and the first one we watched as soon as we got home was a Bollywood movie called "Karan and Arjun." We have been hearing great reviews from our classmates, and I was so excited to see it for myself.

So as we sat in front of the television, the movie began to unfold its magical story. "Karan and Arjun" is a film centered on the belief in God and the concept of karma. It's a story about two brothers who are murdered by their uncle durjah singh, but they were now are reborn into different families, carrying the same faces and a deep-seated desire for justice when they found out they had ties to the village crazy woman who was their mother from their past live.

See ehn… I was glued to my seat, mesmerized by the movie's twists and turns, The scene where Karan and Arjun were brutally killed by their uncle left me in tears, like I cried because I didn't know what would happen next, yeah but the movie didn't end there, it took us on a thrilling journey of rebirth, suspense, and alot more suspense lol…

Yeah so "Karan and Arjun" is a timeless classic that has stayed with me to this very day and it's not going anywhere because I will always remember it. It is a movie that reminds us of the power of faith, the importance of family, and the inevitability of karma, The movie themes are universal, transcending cultures and generations.

As I kinda reflect on that memorable afternoon, I just realize how much "Karan and Arjun" has influenced my love for movies. It was one of the first DVDs I ever watched, and it sparked a lifelong passion for storytelling and cinema.

Now the DVD player may seem like an outdated technology now, know this for us , it was a big gamechanger, It actually opened doors to new experiences, new stories, and new memories. And for that, I'll always be happy and grateful.

We were sort of weird outcasts as children. We didn;t have a TV at all until I was 13. My mom is always adamant that she just didn't want us to be glued to the brainbox, but I actually think we just couldn't afford one. As for DVDs, WOW. I was living with my first boyfriend when we bought the whole lot! Massive TV, surround sound and everything. It was like being in the movies, but at home!

Ah! I know what you mean .
Well at least you still got a good childhood even though.

I get that vibes of the movie theater but indoors .
