1889 feels like it's gonna be a masterpiece...

So, 1889 is a series that I have been waiting for a couple months now to appear on Netflix, and it finally made its debut a few days ago.

I didn't know what to expect other than it was some mystery/horror miniseries taking place on a steamship in... 1889 🤣

Set in 1899, just at the turn of the new century, the series follows a group of European migrants travelling from London on a steamship named Kerberos to start new lives in New York City. [source](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1899_(TV_series)

I just finished the fourth episode ( out of a total of 8) and i am really impressed. At first it gave some paranormal genre vibes but it soon it becomes clear that it's more of a scifi, which suits my preferences even more.

While writing this post I found out it's made by the same fellas who made dark, which only makes sense. That's a show I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish, although i had a hard time following the gazillion characters and timelines. Thankfully, that's not the case with 1889...At least for now 😅

So, 4 eps in and really enjoying what I am seeing. It's a top notch production with an intriguing story so far. I really have no complaints, acting, imagery, pacing, character building, everything I can think of is exceptional👍👍👍

Please note this is a multilingual series. French, German, Spanish, English, Japanese... it has everything! If you are one of those retards that can't follow subs it might not be for you!

I will do a follow up post in a couple days when I have finished the season but for now I can't wait to see how the story progresses. Hopefully it will be an a masterpiece like Dark was!

Excuse me now, got to watch one more ep before hitting the bed!

I am watching episode 6 soon. So far, I find it has a brilliant concept of quantum energy mixed with what might have been seen as an oniric or paranoid experience in the beginning. It goes on layers of realities, depicting more and more human behavior. What I find intriguing and amazing is that from one point on, people communicate in their language but still understand one another.
