Manifest is a Sci-Fi series I started watching about 6 six months ago when the first two seasons made their debunk on Netflix.
The general idea and plot is quite interesting and the first season is in my opinion a relatively good watch. Not excellent but good enough for a binge.
The second season isn't bad either, although it gets a bit repetitive and tiring, however it's still good enough if you have nothing better to do with your life. With that in mind I wasn't super excited when the third season appeared on Netflix a few days ago, but I said fuck it and decided to give it a go and see how the story unravels...
As you probably guessed from the title off the post, the show has gone full downhill. My biggest disappointment is what they did with the plot, the whole Christianity / miracle / divine twist made everything super cringy and just unbearable to watch.
The acting which was moderate has also gone to the shitter, I guess the actors agree with me and they simply can't deliver when they know the show has gone full retard... Or they can't wait for it to finish....
I just couldn't finish the season and stopped watching it midway through...
Tldr, Manifest started as a promising idea and ended up being a dog turd. I have no idea if a fourth season is coming but if it is I am definitely not watching it!
I watched the first season and thought it was pretty interesting but never picked up the second and third season. It was one of those shows where people had been gone for a while and the complications and drama of their return was entertaining to watch. It's unfortunate to hear that it devolved into something cringey. The show reminded me a little of another series called The 4400.

I think the first few episodes were very good, but they ended up on endless wild goose chases but ended the season one rather well, I didn't bother watching season 2 I just wasn't pumped enough to try to watch it. A decent TV series though.
