Last Thursday, February 13, we had the pleasure of watching the end of the new Amazon Prime Video Reality Show alongside the millionaire and famous Mr. Beast, and something I didn't imagine would happen was that I was interested in the series from the beginning. In fact, at first I thought we would see something very similar to Squid Game, but that really wasn't the case.
El pasado jueves 13 de febrero tuvimos el placer de tener el final del nuevo Reality Show de Amazon Prime Video junto al millonario y famoso Mr. Beast, y algo que no me imaginé que sucedería fue que tuve el interes desde el inicio en la serie, de hecho, en un principio pensé que veríamos algo muy parecido a Squid Game, pero realmente no fue así.
We all know Mr. Beast, he is one of the most recognizable faces on the entire Internet. He has been in the entertainment industry for some time and over the years he has even been the subject of speculation and rumors for his peculiar products, since he puts an indefinite number of players to compete for a prize that is generally cash.
Todos conocemos a Mr. Beast, es uno de los rostros mas conocidos de todo Internet, tiene tiempo dentro de la industria del entretenimiento y a través de los años a sido hasta objeto de especulaciones y rumores por sus peculiares productos, ya que el pone a competir a una cantidad indefinida de jugadores por un premio que generalmente es en efectivo.
The advertising that was sold for this reality show was its glorious prize of $5M, which became very attractive for the viewers and even for its contestants. Another important fact is that they had 1000 participants for the Show, but after the first test a very considerable number of contestants left, since the challenge was self-elimination, and there was a large amount to distribute among all those who voluntarily withdrew in this test.
La publicidad que se vendió para este reality show, fue su glorioso premio de 5M$, lo cual se volvió muy atractivo para los espectadores y hasta para sus concursantes. Otro dato importante es que tenían 1000 participantes para el Show, pero luego de la primera prueba se fueron una cantidad muy considerable de concursantes, ya que el reto era la auto-eliminación, y había un monto grande para repartir entre todos los que se retiraran voluntariamente en esta prueba.
The controversies surrounding this show have been very notable, like the one that I do support, that the billionaire must have some fascination in seeing some kind of suffering of the eliminated contestants who were giving their all or who were eliminated by the will of other participants, it is strange but Mr. Beast apparently suffered more when they took his money, instead of having even empathy for those eliminated without benefit (I know that nothing can be done, but they can at least have some words to console).
Las controversias por este programa han sido muy notable, como el que si apoyo, que el multimillonario debe tener alguna fascinación en ver algún tipo de sufrimiento de los eliminados que si estaban dando todo o que fueron eliminados por voluntad de otros participantes, es extraño pero Mr. Beast aparentemente sufría más cuando se llevaban su dinero, en vez de tener aunque sea empatía de los eliminados sin beneficio (sé que no se puede hacer nada, pero pueden tener por lo menos algunas palabras para consolar).
And although $5M seems like a lot of money, the money distributed between bribes and winners was +$20M, and yes, not everything is as cruel as it seems, Mr. Beast actually distributed $2000 among all the participants, although it may not seem like much, it is a consolation that all the eliminated participants took, because better than nothing.
Y aunque 5M$ parece mucho dinero, el dinero repartido entre sobornos y ganadores fue de +20M$, y sí, no todo es tan cruel como parece, realmente Mr. Beast repartió 2000$ entre todos los participante, aunque no parezca mucho es un consuelo que se llevaron todos los eliminados, porque peor es nada.
The test that I liked the most was the island, which was basically a secondary prize of the Reality Show, where they were offered this place valued at 1.8M$, but the participants who did not win were eliminated, but their winner could continue participating for the grand prize. I liked it a lot because the person I expected to win it was the one who won, and in my opinion, the winner deserved it.
La prueba que más me gustó fue la de la isla, que básicamente fue un premio secundario del Reality, en donde se les ofreció este lugar valorado en 1.8M$, pero los participantes que no ganaron quedaban eliminados, pero su ganador podía seguir participando para el premio mayor. Me gustó mucho porque lo ganó quien yo esperaba, y en mi parecer, su ganador lo tuvo bien merecido.
There were two pieces of news that had an impact, one was that the show and its creator won 44 Guinness Records, the most notable of which was the winner of the largest prize in the history of a contest. The other news was that of some complaints that were filed because of the apparent toxic atmosphere that existed among the participants, but to be honest, I think that these events were to be expected, no one can expect to achieve 999 individuals who are totally good, so we must remember that they went there to win a prize and people's ambition can be a bit strong in these shows.

La otra noticia fue la de unas denuncias que se presentaron por el aparente ambiente toxico que había entre los participantes, pero para ser sincera, creo que estos sucesos eran de esperarse, nadie puede esperar conseguir con 999 individuos que sean totalmente buenos, por eso hay que recordar que ellos fueron allí a ganar un premio y la ambición de la gente puede ser un poco fuerte es estos espectáculos.
I must clarify that I was not satisfied with the winner, throughout 10 episodes, I became very fond of several characters, but the winner assured that the money was going to charity for a rare disease that his son suffers from. When I heard his purpose I felt very confident that it was right that he was the winner. This was a unique moment for me as a great TV viewer because it is the first time that I have shown interest in this type of Shows, and even so I can say that I look forward to the second installment with great enthusiasm.
Debo aclarar que no me sentí satisfecha con su ganador, a lo largo de 10 episodios, me encariñé mucho con varios personajes, pero quien fue su ganador aseguró que el dinero iba dirigido a cuestiones benéficas para una extraña enfermedad que padece su hijo. Cuando escuché su propósito me sentí muy confiada en que si estuvo bien que haya sido el ganador. Este fue un momento único para mi como una gran espectadora de la TV porque es primera vez que muestro interes en este tipo de Shows, y aun así puedo decir que espero la segunda entrega con muchos ánimos.

I don't know anything about the ratings of this show, but I saw that it managed to reach the top 1 in the US. I guess that's a good sign for it.
It's giving the vibe of Korean series, "Squid game" in the outdoors hehe. I can relate with not being satisfied with the winner in stuffs like this, I've seen a lot of shows that the winner I expected didn't turn out to be the one.
