Maybe it is linear. Maybe it isn’t.
The man in the story is a pessimist by heart, roughed up and broken down by the cruelty of the live he lives in a dystopian city he hates but can't leave behind. He is stuck, like most of us are in general. I was trying to see the world through someones eyes who faced darkness and had no choice but to live with it.
