Yes these tricks are key I hardly miss these things in my life and I don't remember when I got sick last time or when my health was disturbed. Also avoid fast food as much as you can and shift your lifestyle more with vegetables and fresh food. One more thing to be considered regarding health is that don't eat beyond limits, sometimes we eat extra and our senses start signalling us that you have eaten enough but yet we eat that factor is also considerable.
