Hello everyone once again I hope you all are fine and safe from the coronavirus and are enjoying your quarantine life and i hope you are making the efficent use of your quarantine . In this post i will once again said about the thermodynamics before this i have said you about the first law of thermodynamics and joules experiment. In this post i will tell you about the specific heat at constant volume and constant pressure and enthalpy , also i will tell you about the PMM(perpetual motion machine) of first kind and what is engine are how many types of engines we have. I hope you will learn something from my posts . So lets start:
what is specific heat at constant volume and pressure
Specific heat at constant volume is defined as the rise of one degree of temperature to any body of one kg mass when the volume of that substance is constant that means we appling heat to that body and we put the volume constant there is no phase change and the rise in the temperature will be one degree Celsius.
Or specific heat at constant volume is defined as the rate of chage of internal energy with respect to the temperature when the volume of the substance will remain constant. Also when volume is constant workdone by the system is zero and the heat applied is equal to the internal energy from that we can say that specific heat at constant volume is defined as the rate of change of heat with respect temperature.
Now specific heat at constant pressure is defined as the heat required to rise the temperature of any one kilogram substance by 1 gegree Celsius whe the pressure of the substance will remain constant, also we can say that specific heat at constant pressure is defined as the rate of change of enthalpy of any substance with respect the temperature when the pressure is constant.
what is enthalpy
Enthalpy is defined as the sum of internal energy stored in any system whe we apply heat on that substance and the work done done by the system , as we know from the first law of thermodynamics if we apply heat some heat is stored in the system and the other heat can be used for the workdone. Enthalpy is an intensive property ot does not depend on the mass kf the system.
perpetual motion machine of first kind
The perpetual motion machine of first kind is an ideal machine which gives work work continously without applying the heat or any other source of energy, as this kind of machine didn't exist in nature because we know that energy can neither be created nor destroyed but only transfers from one form to another, so if this kind of machine exists that violates energy law also this kind of machine said we get continously heat without work. Think this machine said we are not applying fuel to the vehicle but the vehicle is moving on itself.
what is engine in vehicles and how many types of engines engine have
Engine is defined as the heart of the vehicle the engine of the vehicle produces power or work on behalf of consumption of fuel or any other source like steem the engine in the vehicle is the only part which produces work other members just transfers this work from one place to another. How engine works i will give you information about that in my next post.
There are two types of engines in the vehicles
One is two stroke engine and another is four stroke engine, in two stroke engine the piston have to do only two movements to produce power but in four stroke piston have to move four times from their dead center and then power is generated the four strokes are suction, compression, power and exhaust
