Patience is not just the ability of not being angry with people but also the ability of being at peace with oneself, about being able to persevere despite the obstacles and the ability to endure certain circumstances.
Some people seem to be born naturally patient while others tend to get angry easily, however it is possible and important to cultivate patience. We can remind ourselves of the outcome of lack of patience. We can remind ourselves that the situation would change, we could remind ourselves about the outcome of uncontrolled anger.
Life itself is filled of uncomfortable experiences and major setbacks. When this happens it’s in our sole power to determine how to react to this situations. We can either choose to be angry or we could choose to be calm and collected. To practise patience is to taste the power of your mind.
