I teach at a Private Vocational High School in Lhokseumawe City. This school is different from other Private Vocational High Schools where the students are housed in dormitories.
This activity ended about two weeks ago and I had time to take some photos to complete my writing on this blog. At that time I saw students were busy participating in several Mobile Training Unit trainings.
At our school there are also several departments including the multimedia department, the informatics engineering department, the Wood Craft department, the Building Drawing engineering department to help facilitate students' skills in accordance with the needs of the business and industry world.
We hope as their teachers, in a not too long time the students can learn according to their respective skills and interests in the Mobile Training Unit. This is a pilot program for student work skills education and training activities.
This activity can increase the percentage of convenience in obtaining relevant workers according to the needs of the business world and the industrial world. Through the implementation of the Mobile Training Unit training program, the government is trying to connect the skills that the industry is interested in to students, especially SMKs (Vocational Schools) throughout Aceh.
In addition, it can also increase the percentage of talented workers in productive age and can prepare reliable human resources, especially for vocational high school graduates.
The number of skill competencies in the Mobile Training Unit is 12 skill competencies which are divided into three Mobile Training Unit, namely plumbing techniques, wood construction techniques (joinery), furniture techniques (cabinet making), and concrete masonry techniques (bricklaying). From the beginning to the end of this training program the students were very enthusiastic in participating in this training.
