In this post, we look at How to Use COUNT Function in Google Sheets. Previously we checked out the tutorial - SUM Function in Google Sheets. It was pretty simple tutorial and also we covered the function with multiple use cases. And so you can take a look at the video.
So what are some of the scenarios where you can use the COUNT function? You can use the function for counting specific scenarios. Like say you want to count salary bigger than 15K for the employees and sort them out ? You can do so by mixing the functions like these. And that is at first starts at your count function.
Let's take a look at one of the tutorial where you can learn how to use COUNT function in Google Sheets.
First thing make sure to open your Google Sheets and then have some sort of the sample data. Like say you have employee data with their salaries, expenses and the pension type of data added into it.
So once you have that data you can choose what to do with it for the COUNT function. Let's assume that you have list of employees where you want to use the data for filtering the people who have salary more than 15K.
Here's one such formula you can use.
=COUNTIF(B2:B9,">15000")
Here I am assuming that B2 TO B9 cells have specific amount of salaries and you want to see if they have the condition under which you can calculate the salary.
Let's take another example where I want to check the sales if they are close to 3000. And I want to count how many out of the cells that are out there. Some of that would be worth checking out as well.
=COUNTIF(B2:B9,3000)
Now this is just another example. You can also cascade into another formula and mix the functions to get even better output for the same. You may find that some of these functions can make things a bit more easier as well. I have learned from my experience that more you practice with multiple functions, different scenarios you can cover.
I have around 12 more tutorials like these that I wish to cover. I have few more I wish to cover in this approach. Some of them can be worth covering in the right means. Like say those who want to try out the functions which are easier to work around with you can consider that as well. I will cover as much as possible.
Now finally I want your support on the youtube. Make sure to either share the video and the channel with the friends. If you like and the subscribe that would be another bonus too. I have done a lot of tutorials and it seems like channel is kind of stagnant and things are going slow so far. So your help in sharing the content is appreciated.
I'll add more spreadsheet tutorial by the next week. :)
