Are teacher or parent got to teach morals to the children

I begin to imagine responsibility of a teacher in the school. The responsibility of a teacher is not only to teach students school subjects or the syllabus but also to teach morals.

Teaching the students morals is not the duties of the parents but also the teacher in school. We have twenty four hours in a day and the students spent almost 10hours in the school from 7am-4pm and spent 5jours- 6hours with their parents which is 4pm-9pm before going to bed, even parents doesn’t have time to care for the children properly and they make use of 8hours-9hours to sleep before wake up to prepare for the next day. That means they spent most of their time in school.

Am not saying parent should not teach their children but the teachers have their roles to play.
There was a time, I was teaching in a particular school and there was a particular child who loves to beg for food from his classmates and the teacher corrected the child it to beg from his classmates that he should be contented with what was given but this boy never listen. During the sport day which is on Wednesday morning, when others have left to exercise their body, the boy went inside the class and ate the food of his classmates. There was a person pass by and saw the boy. He was dealt with and was scolded.
The following morning which is on Thursday the boy and his parent said the teacher never have the right to scold the child. I begin to imagine doesn’t the teacher have the right to teach and scold a child what he or she did wrong. Eventually the boy was expelled from the school because the parent slapped the teacher.
