The fairy tale owes its amazing effect on children to a simple and natural mechanism for a child: the child identifies with the main character and goes through all the adventures with him.

And even if the stories in fairy tales are fiction, for a child, the emotional experience experienced with the help of a fairy tale is quite real. It is this peculiarity of perception that makes it possible to use fairy tales and games not only for entertainment, but also to help the baby master different social roles (for example, to imagine himself as a schoolboy).

At this age, a "rhythmic" tale, consisting of repeated actions and characters, plays a special role. Remember "Turnip": "Grandmother for grandfather, grandfather for turnip: they pull, they pull, they cannot pull." The grandmother called her granddaughter. Grandmother's granddaughter, grandfather's grandmother, turnip's grandfather - they pull, they pull, they can't pull. ”At such a young age, it is easier for a baby to perceive information if both the characters and their actions are constantly repeated. And the goal remains the same: get the turnip!

Such a story perfectly develops ideas about the sequence of actions, and with them the attention and logic of the crumbs.

At this age, "Turnip" is replaced by longer and more meaningful stories, for example, "Little Red Riding Hood". At the same time, children are often asked to repeat the same fairy tale over and over again. The point is that the child needs time to fully assimilate the content of his favorite story.

How to read fairy tales?

Slowly and expressively, giving each character a "special" voice. This makes it easier for the baby to perceive the text. In addition, "read by role" allows to transmit the characters of the characters. Call the child's attention to the illustrations by explaining and naming the objects represented in the book.
Avoid difficult phrases. Keep in mind that children's books are always written with the perception of your target audience in mind. When retelling a fairy tale, it is better to shorten long sentences and use familiar phrases rather than incomprehensible phrases.

From 2 to 3.5 years, the child manages to go through two stages of the development of the game: from the reproduction of individual actions of adults to a primitive role-playing game. But as he grows up, the more interesting it becomes for him to depict familiar fairy tale episodes on their faces. The child fully enters the picture, copies the facial expressions, intonations and actions of the fairy-tale hero, and requires the other person to play with him. At this stage, you cannot do without the participation of mom and dad or older brothers and sisters.

Be sure to play fairy tales with the little one, because teachers and psychologists have long noticed that the more parents play fairy tales with a child, the easier it is to adapt to real-life situations.
