Hey everyone,
Last week I was lucky enough to visit, and stay in, Oxford University. Over the past week (21/08 - 28/08) I have lived in student accommodation in St Hugh's college. During my stay I participated in activities such as: university taster sessions, scavenger hunts, and punting.
While I loved every single activity, punting was a definite favourite. There was something about cruising down the river in a boat with my friends that just appealed to me, and I found it extremely funny. When we set off on our boat, we accidentally crashed into a boat which was docked. Due to the impact the boat then undocked and started heading towards us. Unsure what to do, we paddled back to the boat and tried to take it back to its dock, but we were unable to. Since we did not want to leave the boat in the middle of the river we ended up tying it to ours and sailed around the river with two boats.
Overall, staying in Oxford was an amazing experience and I made so many new friends in this programme. I can't lie, I miss it. The past week has been incredible, but I'm happy to be back home with my family, although I am very tired.
