Habits of an education without listening | Patterns of Repression | Inner Child

When we do not listen to the child, we do not listen to the inner child.

Usually, if a child throws a tantrum, it is repressed, there is no dialogue.

But if an adult is angry, we try to calm him down and understand why he is upset.

If a child cries, we ignore him and tell him to swallow his cry.

But if an adult cries, we give hugs and comfort.

If a child is afraid, we say it is foolish.

But if an adult is afraid, we try to understand and encourage him.

If a child doesn't want to lend his favorite toy, we force him to.

But if an adult won't lend his favorite thing, we even understand.

If a child makes a mistake, we equivocate and call him dumb.

But if the adult makes a mistake, we forgive and say that everyone makes mistakes.

Why is it so natural to hit, punish, and invalidate a child? Instead of understanding, teaching, and caring?

The child needs love, warmth, freedom to express himself, limits and rules also to understand his space and that of others.

When we hurt the child, we produce a society of hurt adults, who harm other children. And so we feed a terrible cycle of patterns of repression and neglect.

Do you know what is the way to prevent this from happening?

Love and respect. Children also deserve to be heard!
