Consider population-level interventions that aim to achieve health-related behavior change (mass media, financial incentives, etc.) along with everything you learned this week about behavior change. What do you think would be the most effective plan or method for improving health-related behavior at the population level? Write your recommendations along with your reasoning supported by at least one of the readings. Feel free to also include your own innovative ideas for achieving population-level health.
The Learning Journal entry should be a minimum of 300 words and not more than 500 words. If you use an informational source, be sure to identify the source and share the link to the source you used.
If I were going to institute a population wide health-related behavior change, I would lock everyone in their homes on the threat of imprisonment and monetary loss. I would tell them they could only go out for food shopping and 1 hour of exercise and tell them to keep 2-3 meters distance from each other and they must constantly wear surgical masks at all times (Jane Ogden p 29). I would demonize anyone who dissents on social media and have those people banned from all platforms as enemies of the state (Jane Ogden, p 34). Also, I would make examples of anyone who think they could do their jobs safely arrested, fined and imprisoned (Jane Ogden, p 34). If possible and I would have the media follow every procedure of this person to scare everyone else into line, on the threat of them ending up the same way (Jane Ogden, p 34). If certain Doctors start saying they have evidence that this medical-related heath change for the population was unwarranted , I would have them banned from the platforms as well as fined and de-certified if at all possible (Jane Ogden, p 34). I would tell everyone they must work from home using software that can be hacked so no one could get anything done whatsoever. I would also start a snitch program where anyone can show evidence of anyone else breaking said rules would be paid cash incentives (Morales, 2020) even if the people they are filming injure themselves in the process while at the same time posting the snitches names on websites accessible to anyone. This would instill fear to anyone who think they could break the rules, but for those still who don't follow the rules like organizing protests online, summary arrests and I would film the whole process so that everyone could see it (McGawan, 2020). I would make everyone so uneasy as to not follow the rules that any deviation would cause psychological arrest of the mind so every one only feels fear even when they think of breaking the rules. Call me cruel if you will but it was done to us for over 2 years and in some places it is still happening and all of those people are still living in fear should they not follow the rules to this day. This is after they said as long as your vaccinated you can go out, no if's no but's, you must be vaccinated and if you have been good little humans maybe will let you out, maybe.
