Hey there!

So the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, or MBTI for short, is a way to figure out your personality and how you're different from other people. It's based on the idea that everyone has their own way of thinking and making decisions, and it tries to understand how you do those things. The MBTI uses four main things that people use to think and decide called "functions." These are sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking. Everyone has a preference for one of these over the others, and that preference shapes your personality and behaviour.

The MBTI puts people into one of 16 different personality types based on their preferences for these functions. Each personality type has a four-letter code, like ENFJ or ISTJ. The letters stand for different things, like whether you're more outgoing or more private. The MBTI is used by a lot of people in psychology, education, and business to understand themselves and others better, and to try and improve communication and teamwork.

Now, some people have criticized the MBTI and said that it's not a very accurate way to understand personality. Others have said that it's too simple and can lead to stereotypes. But despite that, the MBTI is still really popular and is based on the ideas of a famous psychologist named Carl Jung, who had a big impact on how we understand the human mind.

If you'd like to find out more about yourself and would like to take the MBTI test, you can find it here.
