You're touching on a very important point here - that an unused mind is tragic and wasteful. We should be aiming to seek out knowledge when we can, and more importantly, to impart that knowledge to others, especially younger generations.
How do you feel about the idea that younger generations are under-read? That they should be encouraged to put down the game controller, or switch off the television, and pick up a book. I'm not overly sure, but I think books, and reading them, is an important aspect of learning and growing our brains that is overlooked far too often.
