It was snother warm summer's day. Mouse was on his way to visit Goldie and to cool off in the shallow parts of the pond. When he finally arrived he noticed something’s different. There at the shallow end of the pond was a toy sail boat. Mouse was very curious, he wanted to see more. So he quickened his steps till he reached the sail boat.
Goldie was waiting for Mouse and when he saw Mouse heading to the boat he met him there. Goldie told Mouse it was the boy's toy sail boat. The boy and his dad were out here all weekend with this little sail boat. Mouse then looked for a way on the boat when he saw the piece of rope that tied the boat to the edge of the pond. He then climbed on. On board the boat Mouse started to explore, he was fascinated with all he saw. The boat had a lot of detail and everything worked. Even inside the boat the furniture and all was just like the humans used in real life. Only this one was Mouse size.
He sat inside for a while then later Mouse and Goldie had a swim. Mouse and Goldie both grew hungry. They agreed to meet each other again after lunch. Mouse returned to the boat. Inside he started to nibbling on the food he brought with him in his back pack. Then fell asleep. He dreamed of drifting away and exploring the world in a boat like this one. All the exiting thing's he could see and do. Mouse was still dreaming when he was woken up by Goldie calling his name frantically.
Mouse answered back then went outside. Mouse then noticed why Goldie was so upset. The sail boat wasn't tied down properly and now has drifted away with mouse inside deep into the Pond.
Mouse could feel the panic rising inside of him. What was he going to do. The boat isn't stopping and it's already way to far from the shore for him to swim. Mouse asked Goldie what they could do. Then Goldie told him to stay calm he'll get some help. Mouse waited and it felt like hours, but in reality was only a few minutes. Then Goldie appeared with a new friend a very big koi fish. The fish swam to the front of the boat and grabbed on to the piece of rope. He then started pulling the boat to shore. Goldie then explained to Mouse he was too small and not strong enough to lead the boat back to shore. He then asked his friend Curt who is much bigger and stronger to help him.
Curt agreed and came immediately to help. Back on dry land Mouse thanked them both, grateful. After a while of the three of them telling stories and having a good time, mouse got tired. He daid his goodbyes and he left for home.
That night while laying in his bed, what a day Mouse thought. How the day was both exiting and scary. He even made another new friend named Curt. Both Mouse and Goldie learned it's ok to ask a friend who is bigger and older for help when you are too small to do something by yourself. That's why it's a good thing that children ask an adult for help when they are still to small for certain things for help.
