As a relatively new member of the HIVE Blog community, I still have a lot to learn. I am a Middle School Mathematics educator who was introduced to this platform by a professor in my Masters program. As a culminating project, I contemplated the use of Hive as a collaborative platform for the teachers in my building. As the Department Chair, I had hoped to create a community for my peers and me to share ideas, resources, and activities we had tried with our students in the pursuit of cultivating creative mathematical thinking.
I am curious to hear from others that have created their own communities within HIVE. How was the process? Did you have to purchase HIVE in order to create your community? What are the responsibilities of the creator? Can or should you limit participants?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
With communities, I think anyone can create one. There is no HIVE needed.
There was a Mathematics community where I would sometimes post in. It was the creator and me who would post there. That community is no longer active. I hang out on StemGeeks & Education nowadays.
