Hi everyone! How's life lately? Well, if you'd ask mine, I'd probably say that it has been doing very well these days. I'm glad I'm getting back into this community after being inactive for a week. I got busy with everything, especially our moving-up ceremony. So for today, I would like to share with y'all how my moving-up ceremony went and a short message after.
First of all, I want to congratulate everyone for doing such an amazing job this year!👏 And when I mean everyone, I am not only referring to every student and teacher but also to the people who chose not to continue their studies because of financial issues. Those people who chose 'disparate (strategy) over 'diploma' (document that states your completion or certificate), I am indeed proud of you.
30th of May, the day of our moving-up ceremony and also the graduation day of the Grade 12 students. Everyone was so excited to finally get to experience this moment, to walk on stage with full confidence, and to also feel the sense of accomplishment they had made this school year. To officially start the program, the processional has begun, and since I was in the first row because we were the first section to walk, we had to wait for the 400+ students to finally get to their seats. While waiting, I couldn't help but stare at every other girl who walked past us because of their beauty and the proud smile of the parents on their side.
We were listening to the emcees and the guest speakers until the certificates of completion and the awarding of honors began. One by one, we walked across the stage, receiving our certificates with proud faces and smiles. I was so proud looking at my fellow graduates getting their awards and achievements, knowing that they'd done their hardest or best to get them. It seems that all our sleepless nights, sacrifices, and challenges we've encountered seem worth it.
I can't help but smile while looking at my certificate, which has a " With High Honor" sign. I remember back when I was still in grade 9, I almost cried out of disappointment. I didn't have the chance to be able to walk on that stage with the achievement of being a high honor student because I lacked 0.2 points on my final grade to be able to achieve that high honor award. Yet, I still didn't give up and promised myself that I would do better once I entered grade 10, and so I did, and I finally achieved it!

After everything, we finally sang our moving-up song with emotion. The two songs were dedicated to our parents and also to our teachers because they've done their best just for us to reach here. We couldn't have done and accomplished these without them.
As the ceremony slowly ended, I turned around and looked at my fellow completers and my classmates, knowing that we had shared an incredible and wholesome moment. The friends I've made this year have instantly become a part of my life; the bond and the memories we created will never be forgotten. I surely hope that distance won't make us strangers once when we step on our SHS journey next school year.
This wasn't just a simple ceremony to be celebrated; it was also a celebration of the friendships along with every lesson and personal growth we gained on this journey. I know that this is not yet the end, but the beginning of another journey in my high school life.

As we move forward into another chapter, may we never forget the memories and the lessons we had this school year. Again, CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CLASS OF 2023-2024! We did it! I'm so proud of us. 🤍🎉
