I am a Hive Power enthusiast. Have been ever since I joined the other platform in July, 2019. To meet a goal mid-year is exciting. More so due to the saving and investment environment we have been facing for an extended time now in this bear market. As I look back through the year, I can see how I accomplished this goal. We're now headed toward a change in seasons. Autumn is approaching. I hope this change also brings new opportunities for savings and investments.
I am also a content creator. An above-average one I dare say as I take pride in each article I publish. Engagement and support for my efforts prove this and is evidence that I approach each project seriously. By placing quality content over expected rewards, I feel has enabled and uplifted my success. Although navigating through this rough patch that is the bear market is not easy, keeping focused on one's goals is essential.
Much discussion has been circulating recently about the direction of Hive, onboarding efforts, reducing rewards and interest on HBD Savings. And, lastly, returning focus to the Hive token and Hive Power.
The most serious of these I feel is the reduction of rewards for content creators. My view is this: any type enterprise, including a blockchain, is nothing than than an empty shell once set up, as is a blockchain.
If no one comes to check out what the company has to offer, then the company will fail, no matter how you liven up the appearance of its shell. What makes the company successful are the projects put in place and the people who oversee and contribute to its well being. This allows all who venture into the company to feel as though they have a place within its confines. A place where they can grow and be recognized for their achievements. To this end, a company requires all types of individuals in place to support it. There should be a place for everyone who desires to be a part of the company.
I do, however, understand the need to focus on the Hive token and Hive Power.
That is why I have participated in the Hive Power Up Day every month for the past four years.

So far, powering up has been producing good results in helping my account grow. The power up amount may not be huge each month, but consistency does pay.
NEW 2023 HIVE POWER GOAL: 21,000.000
I reached my goal of 20K Hive Power in August. I've set a new goal of 21K, hopefully by year-end. Below is a visual of my account. The increase in the past month was primarily due to my content creation. My total activity for August was 1,013.727 increase in Hive Power.
My activity today is continuing my actionable and achievable small objectives for 2023 by first powering up for September. With this increase, I'm starting my climb to 21,000 Hive Power.
August 1st Hive Power: 19,228.754
September 1st Hive Power: 20,242.481
The total increase in my Hive Power so far in 2023 been 1,250.907 HP. I've still a few months left in this year.

Even though we are still experiencing slow growth in this bear market, I am holding steady and able to increase my account each month.
Another way I'm accomplishig my steady increase is by investing my Hive Power that earns liquid passive income that can be utilized for the next month's power up.
Some of the projects I invest in are Community based that yield daily, weekly, or monthly liquid Hive. For example:
- delegate hive power and tokens to Communities for their projects;
- lease hive power to Hive members;
- invest in liquidity pools with liquid and token payouts;
- participate in @combination for the charity it manages.

As a long-term investor, one approach I had in mind last year was to continue to increase my account in Hive power. That way, I could assist others with support in their Hive journey.

I haven't seen the conversation about changing content rewards, is there a proposal to do that? HBD is a tricky one, there are arguments for and against.
