from what i seen the important thing is to try and change them every 4 years like 99% of the time. If you leave them for more time they will learn how to manipulate the system and get opportunities to organize everything to do that.

on that note did Laura actually did something from the perspective of Romanian people? Was there a visible change in less stealing from politicians?

we had one politician that said while inspecting a road build "Come on, steal a little bit, but you guys are outright stealing" (there is no diminutive of steal in English so it does not sound that good)

Sort:

I think they've already learned how to rig the game. Besides, I don't know how it is in other countries, but in Romania, the same 2-3 parties have been running the show since the fall of Communism, occasionally changing seats, but without much actual change in the country.

Not really. There was a lot of faith put in her, but politicians here are as shady and corrupt as they always were.

"Come on, steal a little bit, but you guys are outright stealing"

(don't need an English translation, it translates to Romanian. And more so, to the mentality. :)) )

the same 2-3 parties have been running the show since the fall of Communism

kinda the same

Did anyone important end up with a serious prison time? or was it all a play?

No Escape (from Balkan) 😁
