Another day of fighting in Syria between the regular army, extremist militias and various jihadists.
In the province of Aleppo, after the collapse of the defenses, the progression of the militias proceeds towards the east of the administrative capital. The so-called pro-Turkish “Syrian National Army” (SNA) launched Operation “Freedom Dawn” during which it captured Tadif and the Kwairis air base.
Going south in the direction of Hama, there are reports of stabilization or a slowdown in the progression of the extremist militias due to the arrival in the northern part of Hama, near Maardes of reinforcements for the regular Syrian army while Tayyibat al Imam and Suran. Many videos and images of the fighting and movement of troops are difficult to geolocate and/or date.
The bombing by the Syrian Air Force and Russian Aerospace Forces continues on militia and jihadist groups.
The rumors spread at the beginning of the evening of a coup in Damascus have not been confirmed.
The priority of the Islamist militias seems also to be to attack the Kurds in the northern part of Aleppo. We do not record Western air support in support of the Kurdish militias. Aleppo 90% in rebel control. For the Kurds a small redoubt which is very complex to hold. The Islamist forces would have offered the Kurdish militias the opportunity to leave the city under arms and head towards the areas north-east of Aleppo.
