Some interesting tank statistics, for comparison.

Scary reality

Almost 16 months since the Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on. Russia attacked Ukraine, wanting to seize territory.

The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not disclosed, but it is known for certain that at the time of the start of a full-scale war with Russia on February 24, 2022, Ukraine had only 892 tanks in service. At that time, Russia had 3,330 modern tanks in service + about 17,000 old tanks in long-term storage warehouses.

During the first almost 16 months of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Russian Armed Forces lost 3,984 tanks (data as of June 18, 2023), which is an average loss of 249 tanks per month.

Of these 3,984 tanks lost by the Russians, not all were burned, some were captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I haven't been able to find statistics for 2023, but as of 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine captured more than 600 Russian tanks as trophies. No country that helps us with weapons has supplied Ukraine with as many tanks as the enemy ("demilitarization" in Russian).

Compared to the Second World War

The Wehrmacht lost 2,851 tanks from June 22, 1941 to December 31, 1941.
For the whole of 1942 - 3377 tanks.
2851+3377 = Wehrmacht losses amounted to 6228 tanks in the first 18 months of the war.
Or an average of 346 tanks per month.

However, this statistic gives a significant advantage in terms of losses of the Red Army

From June 22, 1941 to December 31, 1941 - 20,500 tanks were lost by the Red Army (out of a total of 25,631 at the beginning of the war).
For the whole of 1942, the Red Army lost 15,000 tanks.

In 1943, the losses of both armies only increased

The Wehrmacht lost 8,995 tanks.
The Red Army lost 22,400 tanks.

In 1944

The peak of losses of armored vehicles by the Wehrmacht was 12,079 tanks per year.
The Red Army lost 16,900 tanks.

In 1945

The Wehrmacht lost 1433 tanks in 4 months.
The Red Army, in the midst of the offensive on Berlin, reached the peak of the loss of armored vehicles - minus 8,700 tanks in 4 months (that is, an average of 2,175 tanks per month).

In total, in the period from June 22, 1941 to May 9, 1945, the parties lost tanks

Wehrmacht - 28,735.
Red Army - 83,500.
Of them, the USSR received by Land Lease: 6313 tanks from the USA, 4529 tanks from Britain.

Conclusion

The war of the 21st century is significantly different from the war of the 20th century, it requires first of all qualitative indicators from the armies, and only then quantitative ones. Therefore, it will be more appropriate to count, perhaps, not in absolute numbers of losses, but in percentages of the total number.
With such calculations, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have already lost all their modern tanks with which they attacked Ukraine on February 24, 2022. And, what is even more important, with such losses they did not achieve any of the strategic goals of the war.
