It's almost like governments everywhere at every level overreached their authority using the justification of bad science and yellow journalism paranoia yet again.
The hidden problem is that, like with the boy who cried "wolf," I am concerned that one day they will actually be right, but this precedent of innumerable failures will result in public apathy toward a real danger.
Heh, people have been believing the government and media deceptions for centuries. There is never a boy who cried wolf for disbelief when they put fear into people to react. The public is slow to learn and develop distrust.
