I'm curious to know the volume of people that watch CNN, BBC, and all other legacy Media channels in comparison to the volume of people that were watching those a decade ago.
From where I'm standing, it seems like these conventional Media houses are becoming a thing of the past.
Their impact is still there.
However, there is a whole new wave of new media, thanks to places like X (Twitter) and YouTube which are now the platforms explored by independent Media folks.
Even in places like Hive, the things we do here with our content also adds to the power of the new Media. The only thing we are missing is huge audience and reach for our content.
The question though is... Are you ready to do a better job than the legacy Media?
You would be surprised to know about the number of people who are afraid to speak up and say the truth just because they are afraid of being seen as controversial. They end up closing their eyes and mouth where they could have saved situations by speaking the truth.
That's the same thing that caused the downfall of legacy Media and made them untrustworthy.
Do you remember when Trump was openly saying that news agencies spread "fake news"?
He still say that and we've all seen that there are several elements of truth in that statement. The legacy Media got so many things wrong.
So, if we are now in an era where we are the new media, it would be in our best interest to make sure that whatever we are posting is the truth.
If you decide to have a podcast tomorrow, make sure you are speaking the truth and doing things that align with your principles and goals.

For the record, this is not a push for anyone to take on what they can't deal with. Instead, it's a reminder that we all have a voice and platform that has a very wild reach.
Even if we won't use it to take a solid stance, we should at least make sure we don't use the platform we have to spread lies.
