I usually support Amnesty International and I bring up the name of Julian Assange asking to what tangible efforts are being made by AI to address this travesty. The front line people I talk to don't even know or have any information. Sure they manage to free many international political prisoners over the years but not a peep on Julian. A person too hot to handle? Biting the hand that feeds? AI better put on their big boy pants if they want to live true to their Mission Statement.
