Regards. Your text is very interesting. The "truth" is that few of us want to face what that word really means in the different contexts in which we usually use it. The media make use of this term to expose to the population a "truth" that responds to many interests and in which the audience often does not recognize what is hidden.
We ourselves fear the "truth" and it is a long road when you state that "We need to face the mirror of what we are currently being and doing with complete honesty and respect for ourselves." It is just and necessary for our "self-realization" as human beings and it is a path that few choose. Some of us just prefer to be Alice.
