Your situation sounds very similar to what we faced here in the USA. No matter how great his campaign promises sound, to my knowledge, no president has ever managed to keep them all. Congress can thwart his plans, as can other bureaucrats. Or he can change his mind. Or we find out he never meant it in the first place. It's a very flawed system.
That's what I wonder about - do they even mean what they promise? Or is it all just smoke and mirrors? (mostly). It is a very flawed system, indeed.
