Exactly correct. Scientism is the opposite of science, which is knowledge, and the scientific method is simply skepticism and argument disproving fake news. That's why Altman doesn't want anyone to talk to any of those people, because they are competent to prove him wrong.
He blames science for disproving Scientism. He wants to bring in 'brilliant journalists' - not brilliant scientists - to hold Joe back from disproving the fake news, which is what Altman depends on 'brilliant journalists' to do.

Antinatalism, that is it alright - the entire western sphere, is just that. In every direction. People care less about the system they are in, more transient, when they don't have any close relationships to it. Of course, that is one vector of so many.
