There is much to think about here. I homeschooled my sons, teaching them how to learn what they wanted to know, and today they are greatly admired professionals who have educated themselves and attained such success as they have found worthy of pursuit. I understand that this cannot be applied universally, but I also must observe that the reverse is also true, that forcing all to partake in public education has all too often created indoctrinations rather than useful education. Across the West IQ is dropping by 7 points per generation, since the 1970s as a result of the abuse of the public education system to create a population manipulable politically, rather than capable of maintaining and bettering civil society. It is not only the public education system that is creating this effect, but it is a primary part of the malevolent manipulation of civilians for the gain of pillars of power. It is happening in the Norse countries where socialism has held sway for decades, and in the USA where that has not. In the UK Brexit was used to afflict the indigenous population with hordes of the unwashed, preferably Muslims that would not assimilate but would become foils to the public power of the people, in addition to dumbing them down intentionally.
I have come to be grateful for my relative poverty, because it taught me that wealth puts me in the crosshairs of thieves, enemies only because they need to do me evil to get my wealth. Now I maintain that state intentionally, aggravating my wealthy friends who would greatly prefer I just take pay for my work than the goodwill I insist on. Cuba might consider it's public education system unsabotaged by that mechanism that has made the West practically suicidal. Unless you have seen any studies that show a similar decline occurring in Cuba?
Thanks!
I see some trends here in the same direction in terms of IQ loss. It seems to be a global trend. But look, what is true also --at least in Cuba-- is that exposing people to education in the long term is beneficial because they are almost always capable of subverting indoctrination, maybe not for good, but in any case we talk of a failed effort--that seeking to indoctrinate. I see that talking to my former classmates, as none of them ended up adopting the narrative that we consumed from the school system. Thanks for your sound feedback once again friend.
