With waning immunity from the COVID shots known for a while. "Boosters" were always going to be required as viruses mutate and change. Even the Pfizer CEO said so in an interview. Booster shots are here for life to believe your safe for the time being, or safer than if you don't take it.
Earlier in July, CNN reported:
Drugmaker Pfizer said Thursday it is seeing waning immunity from its coronavirus vaccine and says it is picking up its efforts to develop a booster dose that will protect people from variants.
Pfizer said it would soon publish data about a third dose of vaccine and submit it to the US Food and Drug Administration, European Medicines Agency and other regulators. The company specified it would seek FDA emergency use authorization for a booster dose in August.
Pfizer further stated:
“While protection against severe disease remained high across the full six months, a decline in efficacy against symptomatic disease over time and the continued emergence of variants are expected. Based on the totality of the data they have to date, Pfizer and BioNTech believe that a third dose may be beneficial within 6 to 12 months following the second dose to maintain highest levels of protection.”
They acknowledge that protection will last 6 months but declines after. Then also add that emerging variants will reduce efficacy as well. These are two different factors that result in the cash-cow of booster shots for these manufacturers.
The jab's alleged protection doesn't last long, admittedly. It won't just be for the vulnerable seniors. That's just where they started the first rounds of jabs months ago.
