Intel Spots A 3888.9% Performance Improvement In The Linux Kernel From One Line Of Code
Intel's Linux kernel test robot has reported a 3888.9% performance improvement in the mainline Linux kernel as of this past week.
The Intel kernel test robot reported the 3888.9% improvement with its "will-it-scale.per_process_ops" scalability test case running on an Intel Xeon Platinum (Cooper Lake) test server. Intel thankfully has the resources to maintain this automated service for per-kernel commit/patch testing and has been maintaining their public kernel test robot for years now to help catch performance changes both positive and negative to the Linux kernel code.

At least technically
In benchmarks
Will wait for a few updates as always to have it more stable but
Hardware on Linux matures like a good wine
:))
Another win and step forward for open-source.
Yes, yes, this is what i expect from Linux.
But what about winders? Does it run slower on two processors, and even slower on four?
