Consciousness | Wei wu-wei non-meditation

Just be.

Don't try to be quiet; don't make 'being quiet' into a task to be performed.
Don't be restless about 'being quiet', miserable about 'being happy'.

Just be aware that you are, and remain aware.

Don't say: 'yes, I am; what next?' There is no 'next' in 'I am'.

One way to enter the view is to leave all mental functions completely alone — no active goals or intentions, no manipulation of attention, no visualization, no active thinking.

Easier said than done.
No doing.

Wei wu-wei

What remains is awareness, which is independent of the mind — it’s literally the ground of your being.

Thoughts arise, intentions arise, appearances arise within awareness — but there’s no grasping at anything

Even within all the movement, in non-grasping the equanimity of perfect stillness is ever-present and the nondual expanse is recognized by itself, bypassing the mind.

Being present feels like being in the honeymoon phase with life.

This is meditation. And you do not even need to sit.

Sort:

That silence is so profound, every noise begins and ends but the silence remains. The outside world can be so loud but it doesn't cancel out the inner silence/stillness. You just have to be aware of it and all the external noise is like pebbles thrown at a sea.

So so true, buddy
