I just see all those many little accounts, not even having 500, nor 1000 HP...
Who are cashing out.
while/ but getting big rewards. 10-30 HBD per post.
Which is truly perfect for cashing out.
So is making a new account and going that path/ doing that strategy better?
Better
Than me just loyal buying, earning, holding - and not getting a lot of rewards?
Which incentives does our Hive network set?
Why are new users (if they at least are not clone accounts by old users) being rewarded for cashing out?
I cashed out only once, to use the money to literally survive.
I have put that money back, after that situation. And bought even more than that into Hive. So I have quite more HP (and HBD, currently waiting to become HP) in my account than I have earned on the platform.
total earned 9k+ HP
and having now nearly 12k HP + HBD for buying more Hive for HP
even though I used quite some to just SURVIVE winter
But maybe I'm just doing it wrong..
Contemplating..
So far for now.
Depends on the point of view, of course.
If you are a Filipino, a Spanish (or whoever else major curators prefer to support), then yes, it is profitable. Register a new account within the OCD-onboarding and for six months you will receive horse-sized food inside your horse; then the program ends, support is stopped, you cocoon your account and withdraw everything earned. End of the cycle, and you can start all over again, lol. Will such a cycle please you personally? Not for me. As cynical as it may sound, maybe even contrary to the "standards set by the community" - I prefer to support those accounts that a) are active and interact with other Hiveans; b) not focused exclusively on earning and withdrawing; c) want to grow together with me and others into the Hive future, and not just "in-out".
Well, everyone makes decisions for themselves, right? We have democracy and decentralization here. 😄
Sad but true
And I see it the same as you.
I don't even had the time right now to do such 'normal' strategies, which are just gaming the network / system in my perspective.
So my post was more like a rhetorical questions to make or more conscious for my readers and make them think about what they reward.
It is like with ants.
If you have sugar on the floor and ants and even put more sugar on the floor - what will happen?
More ants come to get the reward.
We get what we incentivise, reward.
And then people wonder about the network, project not going forward.
While the masses reward exploitation of the network..
The amount of answers left me unimpressed.
(Was it a sign of Hive readers activity, maybe?)
Good example with ants, very vivid. ☘️
Wow this is so interesting
Just my perspective on this, dont take it too serious or as a guide.
You have got a nice account nick; reminds me of a 'copypaste'. (What does it mean in Indonesian btw?)
