Hey there!!! Thank you!
Yes I do, to give you an idea, I add at least 5 to 10 lines of prompts, depending on the mood of the moment, and even use other artists as references.
My prompt always starts with the subject and its action: Example: "Black Little Girl with giant afro giving flower to robotic monster hunter from Space"
Then I describe the subject from top to bottom: "pretty face, beautiful symmetrical feature, delicate eyes, yellow textile backpack, simple white dress, leather boots,etc..."
And At last the background "in a destroyed burning world, during an alien invasion"
Then, I give specific parameters to affect the treatment of the picture:
"UHD, 8k, Octane Render, Unreal Engine, Volumetric Lighting, high contrast, bright colors, in the style of (name artist you wanna copy), vibrant colors, wide angle, camera lens (name the brand of the camera lens you want to emulate).
Bare in mind that Midjourney is not completely prompt-driven and will always prioritize the artistic interpretation, in other word, trying to make it look good, more than making sense.
Now other Ai software like Stable Diffusion or Nightcafe studio, or DallE, interpret words and prompt completely differently, without coherence sometimes.
So to answer your question, I do have a clear idea, but I get good surprises, out of the 4 picture, one is going to strike my attention, and will sharpen this one in particular.
Then it goes to photoshop sometimes...
Wow, I'm really impressed. Thank you for taking the time to answer my question in such detail.
I guess in my case I'm mostly just playing with Midjourney. I usually just have a phrase or something and I'm more interested in how the AI will interpret it. So I don't really feel that I 'create' anything.
But who knows, maybe I'll have more specific ideas or projects in the future 🙂
That was an awesome question, so it deserved some attention!!
Yes, keeping it playful is the only way to really enjoy it. If I can compare it to something, it's really like a video game.
At first, there's a huge leap in progress, then a plateau, and finally, you end up feeling that you "master" but it's just an illusion, there's always someone that will excel and show that there is another level. Amazing things on Instagram, they even animate AI art, just incredible to see how fast it's growing.
Sometimes I also like to see what just happens, using my lyrics for example, or just a mood.
Again eventually, when it becomes boring, this is where you can branch out and see what other people use as prompts for example.
I'm glad to hear this 🙂
A video game, that's funny. I actually used to play quite a lot of video games growing up.
Yes, I think it's a good idea to get inspired by others. Let's see what happens 🙂
