When I read this introduction by my Acolytes of Helio Splinterlands guild colleague SirSnorfkin I was intrigued. To be honest I was and still am thinking along the lines of the original Dungeons & Dragons game. I have never played it personally but I have listened to my hubby play it and have seen how much fun he has playing it with friends. Or strangers. Of course, I had heard about the game - duh! - but I hadn't realized that it is more of a storytelling, evolving game than anything else.
"What is that you say? You like what you see and read and would like to settle down in our lovely valley and join the fun around here by becoming a citizen?"
"Very well then, there is one requirement: Please introduce yourself properly to our community. The best place to do that is, of course, by the fireplace either here on PeakD or here on Discord. So, come and join me."
"Well, gladly, my good sir, I do prefer the warmth of summer over winter snow and ice anytime! Let me just grab my sword and pack."

Hahaha - well, this concludes my introductory or inaugural post to The Snorfkingdom. If you want to know anything else about me or my journey here, please don't hesitate to ask. While I do have a '9-5' job I am an artist at heart. I draw and paint, digitally and traditionally, and take photos and manipulate one or all of these together, digitally and sometimes in traditional mixed media art. I dabble a lot on my computers and the internet and eventually made my way to the legacy blockchain before landing here on Hive and now calling it my home. Together with my Splinterlands guild I am branching out into other games and opportunities as a community. And while I am by no means a writer I do enjoy blogging and writing occasionally a short story. Below you see a couple of digital paintings I did of a goblin, Veeviak, from the fantasy book Hazelhearth Hires Heroes. And there you have it that's the beginning of a fairytale story of the Mages and other protagonists of the Vale of Snorf. Wonder which ones we will find? Maybe humans, or other elves? Great One forbid, dark elves or dwarves!

Hey Forky, not sure how often I heard about AteXoras Pub - and was confused each time - LOL - I now read all the info in your linked posts and think I understand better - I can be slow at times, especially in this new crypto world. This is also the reason I still have not managed to mint an NFT of any of my pieces, I honestly don't know why - sigh.
Anyhow, thank you for the invite to paint for the pub. I'll give it some thought and if inspiration strikes this weekend... who knows.
