Drought is a consequence of the climate crisis and has a negative impact on agricultural production, an event that has been denounced by the repeated false solutions, hence agroecology is currently proposed and the need for change through education, environmental justice and respect for human rights is highlighted.

▶ In South America, countries such as Argentina are going through a period of extreme drought for the third consecutive year, as reported by the Drought Information System for Southern South America, which also presented in recent weeks some data on late frosts.

These phenomena are the result of the climatic crisis and especially affect wheat crops, although soybean and corn crops are also affected.
The drought in South America is the result of the processes known as El Niño/La Niña, which are the most visible signs of global climate change. El Niño is known as the warm period and La Niña as the cold period.
During La Niña it is typical to observe drier than normal conditions over the central-equatorial part of the Pacific Ocean. According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the current La Niña episode will continue for the next six months.

Environmental education is something profound, that attacks the heart of the system that is degrading the environment and that should train people not for a transition as some say, we must go to a radical transformation of the social, economic and ecological system.
