Update from the Windowsill and others Gardens 🌿 [EN - FR]

Hi everyone ! I hope everything is going well on your side despite the bear market which is full of opportunities :)

Here, the window garden has taken quite a turn. The climbing beans are still growing at a rate of about 10 centimeters a day. All three have reached the top of their bamboo stakes and I have to try and make them understand that they need to trust me if they are to continue growing. Indeed, I have to make them go down on the sides, or the other way around still on their bamboo... I'm not sure they'll like it too much, but they're supposed to grow to about 1.5 meters... To be continued :)

To see the previous update it's : here

The tomato is doing great and its leaves smell delicious every time I pass by... Every fifteen minutes :)

The basil is still lagging behind, but I had made the mistake of putting in too many seeds, now that I've selected one (it wasn't an easy time) it should go faster !

IMG_3286.JPG

On to the shared gardens...

Our seedlings (late 🙃) are still growing well, below you have the cucumbers. Luckily it was warmer last night as we hadn't been able to go and water them for a few days...

IMG_3294.JPG

Here, it's the beans and some tomatoes, here too, we're late, but I'm hopeful for the end of the summer, which promises to be quite hot too !

IMG_3295.JPG

Here they are mixed peppers and tomatoes, we will have to separate them in a short time too if we want them to grow "correctly" ^^

Beans in bloom... Beautiful :)

IMG_3299.JPG

The first courgette flower immediately makes me want to make fritters, but that would be a bit ambitious !

IMG_3298.jpg

We then proceeded to repot our corn which was getting a bit cramped... My friend managed to get us a half barrel of quite impressive volume that we had previously started to use as compost...

We left the organic matter down and added layers of soil and compost, I'm very optimistic about these haha !

It's really great to see that everything is going well despite the fact that we are a bit behind in the season, but the upsets due to the organisation of the gardens have not left us much choice... I remain confident whatever happens !

To find out more about the reasons for the "annoyances"...

I know that we will have things to harvest, even if they will probably be modest !

Sort:

The plants are nicely growing I was thinking about you being late but hope you will harvest before September.

I hope that too, and we were thinking about to start vegetables for winter ...! thanks you for your thoughts :)

I wish you a really good day

How you can do it? isn't it cold winter in France? Anyway, good luck with your project. today here celebrating the Summer Solstice🌞 Lots of boats will participate in the boat ⛵⛵parade. Fun to watch it people don't care if it's rain or cold weather. Greetings for the summer solstice🌞 have a nice day. hope you have good weather there.

aaah, I just wanted to start them not too late this time 😅 It's not super cold, between 0 and -10° I would say, but I will maybe install a little greenhouse (?)

This must be a wonderful celebration ! here, I've the impression that it's not so much celebrated, except about the "music festival day" ... but I love that special day :) I really hope you enjoyed it, and yes, the weather was good too, just enough rain for the plants 😉

I wish you a very pleasant weekend !

Thank you 🙏 anttn. same to you now summer starts here also. very good weather but still cold wind.
my plants are growing nicely the sugar peas are blooming the tomatoes are flowering. the red current almost getting ready .but no squash this year. but lots of flowers around. here we have lots of activities in summer. lots of people come here for summer vacation. now still daylight even at 11 o'clock, very short nights I like summer more because of the Sun. I wish one day we will travel to France. but don't know when? good night.😊

You are quite good at gardening. Plants grow too slow and I guess with this it tests our patience and caring level. Growing plants takes a lot of energy and effort that not many people can give.

thanks you 😊 !

In fact it’s not «technically» this difficult, but the harder part that even some gardeners doesn’t seem to understand, it’s that as we, humans, have our plans for Nature, Nature itself have plans for we all !

The best way is to listen and watch a lot to find a « profitable » cooperation between our ideas and the rules of Nature :)

I wish you a very good weekend @lemonade1
