Question Of The Week 9.3 "Have you ever witnessed a miracle?

in ecoTrain3 years ago

A miracle can be said to imply any happening that defies natural laws especially in Christendom. A miracle happens to prove that impossibilities can actually be made possibilities.Throughout the earthly ministration of Jesus, He bolstered his ministrations with healing of the infirm, raising of the dead, turning of water into wine, feeding of well over 5000 people with a very trammeled resources, inter alia-these are just a crop of the miracles that Jesus performed in the course of his sojourn on earth.

As a believer, I belief in miracles because I have firsthand experiences that have altogether altered my life from being an atheist to a ardent believer in God.Aside the plethora miracles that liter the holy scriptures;from the turning of water into wine, the raising of Lazarus from the dead-all by Jesus-I have my firsthand experience with miracles some of which I now deem it expedient to share.

I vividly do retrospect on the experience I had in the course of my studentship in The University Of Portharcourt. As it were, I was returning to campus from the semester's break.Due to the chronic deplorable state of Nigerian roads and the ever-rising insecurity that characterizes road transportation in Nigeria impressed on me the need to fly into the Garden City(Port harcourt). I boarded an aero-air aircraft bound for the Garden City. Some 15 minutes after take-off, the aircraft was loosing altitude. To allay the fears of the well over 300 passengers aboard the Boeing 747 airbus, the captain, over the intercom said this, "ladies and gentlemen, we're currently experiencing some technically related problem but we'll leave no stone unturned to bring the situation under control".

Some moments later, the captain, over the intercom said, " Ladies and gentlemen, brace for impact".This intercom announcement caused a serious pandemonium in the vessel's belly. Some prayed, others whined while some complained angrily. In the midst of the bedlam, the plane gained altitude once more and the flight to Port harcourt was hitch-free. To have evaded a potential air disaster was an act of God and a miracle. We landed in Port harcourt unscathed to God's glory.
In a related development, I made a trip from Lagos state to Abuja for a programme. In the course of the trip, our driver was doing a speed of 90km/h when one of the front tyre of the eighteen-seater bus pulled out from its hold. With that speed, it was unthinkable to have a survivor from such mishap but we all survived unscathed.

This again caused me to belief, without a modicum of doubt, that miracles exist and that God is untrammeled regardless of the circumstance involved. All that is required of us is an unwavering trust in Him without being skeptical about their possibilities especially in the face of seemingly hopeless situations.
