Welcome to my page. I am @blesy and this is my entry to the question of the week challenge presented by @ecotrain which states that "What actions do you think are needs to be taken to combat climate change?"
Below are my opinion on what actions to be taken to combat climate change;
- Stop bush burning
Bush burning is one of the activities of man that poses danger to the climatic environment and the cause of green house effect. The sooting smoke adds up to air pollution and hence, depletes the ozone layer causing high sun radiation on earth. This can in turn result into skin irritation, cataract and many more illnesses. So it's more safe to stop bush burning for the sake of a favorable climatic environment.
- Steady solar power supply

Hydroelectricity is limited in power there's a need to source for alternative power that runs without diesel or petroleum as these are major air pollutants which results to an unfavorable climatic change. Solar power supply minimizes the stress of electricity billings and help curb unwanted health symptom. More also,the cost of solar panels should be made affordable for average citizens of the country.
- Proper servicing of automobiles and generators before use
Since putting an end to automobiles and generators will be almost impossible, there's a need to properly service them to avoid sooty fumes from their exhaust as this poses a very great health challenge and environmental pollution in addition to causing adverse change in climate. So it is necessary to properly service the engines of our automobiles before use.
I hope this will go a long way to combat climate change and restore the good air and environment we all desire. Thank you
