"Is the world overpopulated? If we only look at the Asian continent, we will see part of the reality of world overpopulation. According to statistics, the world's population is around seven million inhabitants, with Asia accounting for a considerable number of the world's population. In the global sphere, China has the largest number of inhabitants in the world, with Tokyo being the most inhabited city. However, we can ask ourselves, what causes this overpopulation?

As China may be an overpopulated nation, this can also be evidenced in other regions and countries of the world, in which, just by looking at the streets of a city or country, we can see if there is overpopulation or not. When, for example, I travel in the subway of the city of my country, I can see by the large number of people using the subway, that the city where I live is overpopulated. Likewise, when I frequent the most famous shopping malls of the city, I can understand that there are a lot of people in it. The city, where I live, is the main city in my country and it is the most sought after by people to live in, as it offers better living conditions, which makes, that there is overpopulation.
The more populated a city is, this implies that the birth rate will be higher and this will cause more overpopulation. In the same way, migrants will look for those cities where they can have better employment opportunities and a better quality of life, which produces a more complex and difficult situation for the city and nation that welcomes them. Actually, birth rate and migration of citizens are essential factors that influence overpopulation in both major cities and nations with economic development opportunities.
Migrants naturally prefer cities and countries that offer better employment opportunities and quality of life. This preference leads to overpopulation.
Overpopulation has very harsh consequences that directly influence the quality of life of the inhabitants of a city or nation that suffers from the phenomenon of overpopulation. Unemployment becomes notorious, energy consumption increases, quality of life decreases and crime increases as a result of overpopulation.
What aspects to consider to avoid overpopulation?
If people could develop a good consumption habit, both in terms of food and energy, this would help a lot to reduce the causes of overpopulation. Education plays a fundamental role in society, which would allow families to become aware of the number of members they can really have in the family nucleus, which would help to avoid a constantly growing birth rate. Likewise, governments should plan well, especially in cities that are prone to economic growth, so that there is not a constant migration to those areas. Developing cities must be well planned by governmental bodies.
Nicely said @carlis20, the best is to educate every individual about overpopulation and the need to reduce child birth in order to have enough to feed themselves to have quality life. Thanks for sharing.
