what does success look likes from a spiritual perspective?

Success from the spiritual angle can be viewed from different angles by believers. Being a Christian believer, I will look at it from a scriptural perspective. Though the bible does not place a specific mode for success in the scriptures. And there have been arguments on what defines a successful man and a non-successful man.

However, it could be noticed that everyone that was called a successful man in the scriptures would find their origin in God. Because God is the author of “success”. So, I will start by saying a successful man in a Christian perspective is a man that has given himself for God and God has identified him with him. For example, when God will bless Father Abraham, God needs him to surrender all to Him and follow His status, then, Abraham was just an ordinary man like everybody, but when God made a covenant with him, His story began to change (Gen 12:2-3) When a man wants desire to be successful, God must be the origin. God must pronounce it and he works towards it.

Meanwhile, every believer born of God has been blessed by God. Because we have the seed of blessing. Christ is a blessed man and he has blessed us with every blessing that pertains to life and Godliness. What we need is to activate this. Some Christian folks do nothing and expect God bless NO! Your blessing and success must validate your relevance in the Kingdom. If you have money, got a car, own a business but do not have salvation. That’s not a success in the Christian worldview. Your success starts when you have given yourself to God, abide by the rules of the Kingdom, use your success to add value to people's life.

In Matthew 16:26-27, what good will it be for someone to gain the world, yet forfeit their soul….from the passage, what is paramount to the Christian life is His Soul. A man that gained the whole earth (successful) and loses His soul is not but a failure in the Kingdom. I can say a successful Man in the Christian Perspective is the man that has Christ and prospers in everything he does.
