in ecoTrain3 years ago (edited)

Human beings express different emotions at a given time depending on what is happening around them at that particular time. Here we will be looking at Anger. Anger is natural, though sometimes it's an unwanted or irrational, emotion that everybody experiences from time to time. Experts describe anger as a primary, natural emotion which has evolved as a way of surviving and protecting yourself from what is considered a wrong-doing, it can also be a ‘secondary emotion’ to feeling sad, frightened, threatened or lonely. When being asked the question what makes you angry? we all notice how many things come to mind so pointing out one is a great challenge.

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defined anger as "a strong feeling of being upset or annoyed because of something wrong or bad : the feeling that makes someone want to hurt other people, to shout, etc. : the feeling of being angry".

People express anger in many ways; different types of anger affect people differently and it manifest to produce different actions and signs of anger. The most common signs of anger are both verbal and non-verbal. You can notice that someone is angry from what they say or how they say it, or from their tone of voice. Anger can also be expressed through body language.

I will tell us a short story before I mention how we can manage our Anger.

A young man in my community was known for his anger issues, he was advised by many to seek help but he refused. On this faithful day he had a job interview, dressed up , made his research about the company and was well prepared for the interview. On getting to the company, a janitor mistakenly stepped on him and he slapped the man and started shouting at the man despite the man apologies.

Unknown to him the janitor was the Human resource manager of the company, and that was part of his interview being that he was going to be having contact with customers on a daily basis and he was tested to know his level of tolerance. He waited for some minutes then he was told that he had failed his interview. He went home disappointed after he discovered that the janitor was the HR of the company.
It is important for us to work on our anger issues so that it won't cost us.
