▶️ Watch on 3Speak

**This video explores the revolutionary concept of Earthship Biotecture - a philosophy of home design and construction that partners with nature to create self-sufficient, sustainable living spaces. Developed by visionary architect Michael Reynolds, Biotecture homes aim to meet their own needs for energy, water, food production and waste management, reducing their occupants' environmental footprint and utility bills.
**
Key principles of Biotecture covered in this video include:

Using thermal mass and passive solar design for stable indoor temperatures
Catching and recycling water for complete water autonomy
Treating waste as a resource to be utilized rather than discarded
Integrating food production with interior greenhouse spaces
Applying modular, scalable design principles to suit any climate or budget

In an age of growing economic and environmental instability, Earthship Biotecture offers a beacon of hope, showing us how to build homes and communities that are resilient, regenerative, and deeply connected to the cycles of nature that sustain us. This video is a must-watch for anyone interested in forging a more sustainable path forward for humanity and our planet.

Oh dear! What happened here? Here is a high quality post (complete with video!) on a visually appealing topic, not just for sustainability nerds, the whole thing posted by none other than eco-alex on the ecoTrain... and the result? 40 upvotes with zero comments in three days!!! Scary to say the least. At the same time I realize it's been almost a month since I've published a post, and the parallels scare me even more.
