Yes sometimes in excitement or in dire need of something we miss out on the finer points to check on and that can end us up in trouble, like your friend in all the excitement did not really get all the details of the job. And this is the case with a most of the things that come up very flashy, there is a kind of eyewash that does not allow us to think further.
