WHATSUPHIVE4.jpg

Hive seems to be getting a little busier on the posting and engagement this week, and I'm sure most of us noticed that unbelievable moon run to almost $1.00. Quite amazing really, perhaps a sign of good times to come for us all.

What’s-up brings you those posts that stand out or are unique in some way. I encourage you all to write and share in our community on any topic or issues that are important to you and making your world a better place. We really do welcome all opinions and viewpoints as an opportunity to learn and discover more about everyone in our community!

This week we have a lovely mix of posts, starting with an update from @reforest and their tree planting project

The Hive Blockchain has just planted its first trees, and it's all thanks to YOU!

Hello everybody!

First of all, I want to thank you for the support you gave to our first post.
Without any need to run into bots or promotions we were able to reach a good number of upvote and readers.
All this thanks to those who made the reblog of the post, thank you very much!
But getting back to us..

Catch up with @thebigsweed who's making a window box greenhouse, the perfect place to germinate and grow!

DIY - BUILDING A WINDOW-BOX GREENHOUSE

In his DIY post, I will be showing you how to build a Greenhouse window box. Wanting to germinate all of our seeds, rather than purchasing vegetable plants, I figured I could make one.

The first step in this project was to build a face frame for the cabinet. The face frame consists of two different parts, the rails which are the pieces that travel horizontally, and the styles that travel vertically.
After ripping these pieces for the face, I'll show you a great tool for fabricating any type of cabinet.

See what @fenngen is up to as he blogs and shares about a special vegan restaurant in a magical place. Be Inspired!

Visiting "Indian Stone", my friend's vegan restaurant... and other short stories

Hello Hive!! Long time no see… I’ve been away for the longest time since I started posting in the blockchain, it has been pretty hard to find a decently quiet and comfortable moment to sit down and write.

I’ve only been logging in to shortly spend my voting power but have been wanting to engage on real interaction. Hopefully I’ll start finding more moments to do so eventually. It’s pretty hard to balance out physical world interactions with the need for time alone as well as online interactions.

Today I introduced a friend who likes to rap, write, and cook awesome vegan stuff to Hive. He has a lot to say on many topics and already created his account. I’ll be waiting for him to share his introduction post before I say any more on him.

@icedrum shares his regular updates on cosmic and astrological events relating to our climate and weather.

MOTHER EARTH & SPACE NEWS - Sunspots Growing, Weather Alerts, Solar Forcing | News Apr.27.2020

A bone pointed arrow dated at least 60,000 years old has been found at Klasies River, South Africa. This sample has been confirmed with Middle Stone Age provenience. There is evidence that indicates the point was hafted and partially coated in an adhesive substance. Internal fractures are consistent with stresses occasioned by high-velocity of longitudinal impact.

Here is a special update from me, @eco-alex, about the latest ecoVillage vision. Worth a read if you have been following this project!

As I pack my bags ready to head back to Portugal, I would like to share the full current vision and approach for ecoVillages. It is amazing to see so many people now thinking and planning their own communities worldwide. There are so many approaches to doing this! What lies at the core of ecoVillages is that it is a model that embraces decentralisation in every way. We make sure every aspect of life is as close to home as possible, and under an individual's control!

If you want to get inspired to find ways to be createive and productive with your children during lockdown, or anytime, check out @samstonehill ! His latest post he demonstrates his incredible creative skills by making a pin ball machine out of cardboard, oh and it teaches your kids maths as they play.

I made a (maths-practice) pinball machine out of cardboard

Esteban keeps asking me when the "coneyvirus" will be gone so he can go back to nursery school and play with his friends again. I don't have an answer for his question so instead I have been pushing myself to make his experience of life at home more interesting than ever, while demonstrating to him that with the right tools, pretty much anything can be created at home.

On his fifth birthday last week I quickly made this basic driving game, using one of my time-lapse motors to move the track.

@steemmatt is STILL finding what some call trash and turning it into loads of money! Very nice work matt, this weeks is a gem really!

A Pro Reseller's Clever Trick For Getting Free Money Or New Items Out Of Thin Air

I found this Dyson fan today and knew this busted and partially coffee-covered clunker would magically turn into a guaranteed $300 in two weeks.

@revisesociology shares with us his lifestlyle blog, with a focus on meditation.

Getting into physical meditations and enjoying a calmer state of mind weekly meditation reflections

I've spent a lot of April online - reading around things for my blog, doing irritating online chores like cancelling flights, moving money about, and quite a lot of time tossing about on Hive, setting crypto limit orders, and playing Splinterlands.

The old multiple-windows flt-back-and-forth was out of control some days TBH, but this last week I managed to reign this back in a little by upping my physical meditations.

I have been much more disciplined about taking time to do the following physical in-the-body meditations.

AND FINALLY!

@recording-box shares a beautiful tibetan bows concert with us in high fidelity quality!

We recorded the healing sound Tibetan singing bowls

I'd like to share with you this gift, that my friend Alfonso shared with me. He came over to the recording studio and brought his Tibetan singing bowls, tingshas, koshi chimes, Feng gong and an ocean drum.

During the ocean segment, he used various friction mallets to stimulate the Feng gong. the sound is absolutely out of this world. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I'm so impressed by the sound that I would like to purchase my own instruments as soon as I can. Tibetan singing bowls can be quite pricey though, so I might have to wait a while.

we recorded all of this with a stereo pair of Neumann TLM 103 large condenser microphones and a second pair of Røde NT5 small condenser microphones.
