Many people have told me that if I lived my entire life in one color, it would be tedious. Even though we've always believed we had total control over our inner world, we still don't have enough colors to paint our own picture, I know it's an odd experience.
I mean, we all have the capacity to make our own rainbows.
- Rather than squandering all of our time on Facebook, we may really spend time with important people.
- Instead of rushing to eat out after work, we may take the time to cook a healthy dinner.
- Instead of spending hours playing computer games, we can ride our bikes in the afternoon.
We can walk outside and appreciate all of life's wonderful hues, as well as learn to "be there," observe the flowers and appreciate the golden rice paddle field... That's something we'll be able to do for now. Sometimes I just think of working hard as an excuse to take shelter in my quiet and safe room but I wondered whether I'd be like way forever. "Okay, so I don't have two hours, but I do have 10 minutes" I usually say. After that, I would start to color my day with many more 10 minutes which I thought I didn't have. And, that has kinda triggered many more days and months of geting out there to enjoy life the way I want.
The color of early mornings
You know what I'm talking about if you're an early riser, like me. Every day, that's the color of feeling new and fresh. It's the early hours of the morning that inspires me to have a colorful day ahead. I'll often be there, witnessing a stunning sunset that greatly urges me to savor every minute.
I used to be a night owl who would stay up late only to text people and scroll through Facebook. I stopped since that dull one-single night's existence had only resulted in deteriorated health and an annoyingly messed-up life during the day.
Simply just set your alarm, get up early, go outside to your garden, take a deep breath, and be grateful. Feel what it's like to be there. I also hear the birds warbling on early mornings like a chorus. That is a fantastic shade of life.
The color of being healthy
I suggest feeding ourselves nice foods," because our body is a temple, and should be treated as such. With your one and only body, you pray, work, love, and live.
I don't have balanced nutritious meals all the time, but I always attempt to "bounce back" when I see I've returned to the old eating habits once or twice. I also occasionally attend a party and have a barbeque with my family. But I assume it'll be one of the colors I'll be compelled to have. It's different from the color when I emotionally binge eat everything, right?
The color of being with your beloved people
Please cherish the people who love you and the ones you love because you never know when you'll get another chance to see them.
Instead of blaming those who don't love me, I've recently learned to focus on those who do. Because I know for sure if one day we are on a sickbed, we won't ever wish we'd worked more hours, but rather that we had lived more, with and for our loved ones.
The color of doing what you love
Life is short. It would be a waste of time to live your life on other people's terms.
So, as I mentioned earlier in another post, being hardworking may be the finest thing in the world since it allows us to achieve everything we desire. Naturally, no one objects to going the extra mile at work. However, it would be fantastic if you continue to do something you enjoy. if you have a strong and unconditional love for what you do, which is a wonderful quality to possess, It'll bring a kaleidoscope of colors into your life.
I used to be that dull employee who was 15 minutes late for work every day, was bored at work, was exhausted when coming home, binged eat at dinner, and went to bed with an overloaded stomach. Nothing else to do. My life had just one color at the time, the color of monotony and meaninglessness.
I decided to break out and try new things. I eventually discovered something I enjoyed doing. At first, I was delighted to do it since I let the curiosity lead me and totally loved it. Then there'd be a moment when I'd have some troubles. I considered quitting as well, but perseverance was a good hue to add to the vibrant color of doing what I love. Then there's the point at which I could achieve SOMETHING. I've got my results and they mean the whole world to keep me going.
The color of "traveling"
Traveling on a new vacation? Literally NO. I mean I ve kept traveling from one job to another, from one decision to another within just a second. In other words, I gave up many times in my life. I tend to easily found a new interest that will be soon disregarded. But I keep "traveling" anyways because I believe one day I'll be able to find the one that I would desperately want to stick with, despite all the difficulties.
Of course, now I don't blame myself for that, as I frequently used to, though. Every one of us is a lifelong learner. We never stop learning at whatever age or stage of life. And no matter what happens, we'll always make progress as long as I learn to relax and appreciate myself.
This color isn't particularly great, but without dark tones, you can't have brighter tones, right?
The color of learning lessons
We either learn from our own mistakes or from other people's mistakes. Every day presents opportunities to learn new things and gain new experiences. So take advantage of the situation and enjoy yourself before it's too late. Continue to smile and live an interesting life.
One of these times happened to me. I learned my most important lessons around two years ago. Every day, I was a single color in a dull workplace with numerous foggy thoughts during the eight office hours. Then, all of a sudden, I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, which progressed to depression later. For nearly a year, I couldn't eat or sleep because my mind was always racing.
I knew I'd have to be courageous, calm, and learned the lesson of acceptance the hard way. I accepted all that has been shown to me. And, without my knowledge, things began to improve gradually. Looking back and seeing the little gains took a long time for me.
Most of us don't need to go through something like that to learn lessons, but I believe everyone will have hundreds, if not thousands, of times where we feel stronger than they were yesterday. They may not be too significant lessons, but they do make you grow up to some extent. Seeing the colors of how learning new things have changed lives is also a skill to learn.
The color of trying new things
Trying new things may lead to a lot of good. Consider this beautiful color the next time you're afraid of adding more colors to your picture. Have you ever imagined attempting a lot of different activities in one day? So, instead of daydreaming, get out there and attempt something you've never done before.
“If you never did, you should,” Dr. Seuss once remarked, and I've always had the sensation that I've never done enough of the things I enjoy. If there are new items that I don't think I'll like, I'll give them a try anyways. Sometimes, things I thought I hated turns out to be my favorite to do after several attempts to do them.
Continue to push yourself to conquer your fears and overcome subjectivity. You could be surprised to discover a new interest.
The color of Building courage
I see that, without courage, I could not have done anything mentioned above. I realized that every time I chose a new experience, to love people, to make a change, I build my courage. I showed myself that I was more capable than I thought. Not only do I begin to add more colors to my life, but I also change the picture around, sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse but I am proud because it means I've kept going forwards.
Life is the rainbow
Although there are just seven primary colors in a rainbow, we all know that counting its tones and hues is impossible. All we can do is live our lives in a specific way, for better or worse, for a single hue or a rainbow. It all depends on your preferences.
Don't compare your rainbow to somebody else's because you are unique. Your rainbow doesn't have to look like an actual rainbow; it might be a green avocado, crystal clear ocean water, a green mountain, a wave of red rage, a blue melancholy, or a whole set of cheerful colors of a day full of love with many small pleasures that are well-kept for yourself and for the people you love.
