The shrooms are back!

Autumn, love it or hate it.

Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of autumn as there is always something muddy, cold, windy or stinky going on. Biking in the rain, not having the heater good properly and always dressed a little bit too much in summer vibes still. That is how I experience autumn.

But I know there is a different version of it as well. A version with colors of leaves, a version which symbolises the end of something old where it dies down and start again after hibernating for a couple of months, a version where the weather can be beautiful and where you see the most cool things in nature.

Nature is just full with mushrooms at the moment giving me a pleasant surprise almost around every corner. Big and small ones, white and red ones, and one that grow on trees and branches or just stick out of the soil.

They are everywhere!

I remember when I was living in Switzerland that there was a community service in the library where there was the option to check on what kind of mushrooms you had to see if they were eatible. I really liked this concept because how cool is it to find you own food in nature.

I had a colleague there who would go hiking in the weekend, check her mushrooms on Mondays, and by Tuesday she would always come up with this nice stew with pastries for all of us with the mushrooms she had found in the forest.

Win - win I would say ;)

Summer has been extremely moisty here so I really expect the march of the shrooms to continue going further over the next couple of weeks as it seems that the moist will not be leaving any time soon

Who knows what more kinds of shapes will be popping up over this time soon. I mean an egg shaped shroom? That is entirely new for me, as well as the one here on the right which looks more like a radio receiver than anything else.

Okay fair enough, when finding these kinds of things the autumn does have more nice things in there for us. But the majority to me still is that it is not the sweetest season and I really need to motivat myself to go outside and find stuff like this. Find trees which are having their tri-color state and finding leaves which are on the floor already so the jump can jump in without any reserve.

And ofcourse stare outside and wait for the snow to come. But that is not the fastest thing here in Holland. Maybe I do need a trip to the Alps soon to get some winter vibes going. Or just embrace what is here in the now and accept it for a bit...this autumn

I appreciate the fact amidst not being a big fan of the autumn you still look for the most beautiful things it can bring and cherish it well, that's a plus.

Wow, wow, I haven't seen or tasted such kinds of mushrooms before, I guess there's a lot nature has to offer if only we take time to let it show us.

Make sure to enjoy every moment you can and eat a healthy portion of eatable mushrooms.

Thanks for sharing

There is enough beauty to be found honestly but you have to get out of your 'i-hate-autumn-vibe' and take the dog for a spin to find these kinds of sweet things.

So now I still dont know if all of these badboys are eatible or not honestly? Image a risotto with garlice sauce and these shrooms in there. O-M-G drewl

Maybe I will like autumn after all :D

(thanks for stopping by and taking the time to actually read it dude. appreciated!)

Exactly!.
Being locked up and mopping wouldn't change anything, wouldn't put a smile on your face, you just have to go out and experience what nature has to offer.

Lol, you'll have to do careful research to find out.
Men, that would be really tasty!!! 😋

Of course you'll love it!!

I'm glad I stumbled on your post my friend

As someone who lived in Japan for the longest time I have to say that I really love autumn. It's like summer everywhere else :)
