Good day and welcome to my page. My name is Favour @mhizfavour and this is my entry to the question of the week challenge. Kindly follow me as i share my view on the question which states "If there is a God why is there so much suffering in the world?"
Suffering has been in existence since man disobeyed God in the garden of Eden. The cause declared by God on Man extends down to multiple generations of those alive and yet unborn. From this we can see that see that the reason why suffering has taken root in the history of man till now is due to disobedience.
Disobedience: simply means going contrary to laid down principles, rule and regulations. If Adam (The First Man to have existed on Earth) stood his ground and never followed what Eve said, there are possibilities Eve shouldn't have yielded to what the serpent said by eating the forbidden fruit.
In life it has been known that to every disobedience there must be consequences or punishment. Disobedience is said to be sinful as stated in the holy book and also " the sin of disobedience is more than that of witchcraft." When one never takes correction and will always want his/her will to rule over others not minding the direction of such a will either good or bad such a person is doomed for failure or suffering.Lack of proper planning: When one lacks the good will of planning ahead of time and life activities or financial budget, such a person is liable to suffer in the long run. When you're in money and spend shabbily, you don't expect God to decend and bless you. He won't bless such an individual but will rather want such a person to learn from his or her mistake in a hard way and such may be through suffering for a particular time of life. So, it pays to plan and be prudent in your spendings.
Laziness: It has been said that "an idle mind is the devil's workshop." When the devil is present in such a workshop of an idle mind you don't expect God to intervene especially when such a person is not ready for positive changes. A man that is said to be lazy is bound to suffer losses. Such a person can never be balanced or have a stable family life. God only helps a willing and able heart that's fully prepared to reap the goods of the land. likewise women who are lazy finds it difficult to nurture their home and carelessly looses it to an active traitor.
life is full of a whole lots of lesson. God has played His part by moulding us and given us all we need to have a fulfilled life and this include the will and strength to be an achiever in various fields of our endeavours in life. So be obedient, purposefully plan and resist laziness.
If we are able to abstain from sin and disobedience, the world will definitely be a better place for you and me.
